The next two months will determine whether we end up with a FAIR CONTRACT settlement. OUS management seems determined to make classified employees pay more for health insurance and live with limited economic improvements. This along with OUS attacks on basic worker protections like overtime after 8 hours and layoff bumping rights means we need everyone to get involved in the campaign.
The bargaining team concluded two days at Southern Oregon University last week. The June Local Focus (emailed to members on July 1) is full of information leading up to that session. Please read this issue carefully, we need to stand up and stick together to move OUS in bargaining.
