Rally for a Fair Contract – September 18th, 2013

Why are we getting ready to strike?

We are preparing to strike because the University System Management continues to push their drastic change to our step system that would further attack the economic security of our Members. Doubling the amount of time it takes workers to “top out” is unacceptable.

Furthermore, the University System Management refuses move on cost of living increases, our proposals on insurance equity for domestic partners, and proposals for controlling administrative bloat.

However, more then anything workers are striking to stand against years of cuts and unshared sacrifice.

Bargaining is returning to our Campus on Wednesday Sept. 18th, and we need to stand together at 12 PM at the quad in front of PLC.
