Our sister union Local 49’s strike has come to an end after three days on October 30th, 2014. Many supporters from SEIU 503 came out to the picket lines from around the state. In addition, there were people from other SEIU locals as far away as Pennsylvania, members of LERC, the Teamsters, and various other organizations.

What can you do? Show your support by contacting the hospital directly. Let them know that you want safe staffing levels with decent pay and affordable health care for workers. Ask managers to stop intimidating workers and begin to bargain in good faith! This must be done for the workers, the patients and the entire community.
