9/13 Bargaining Update from UO Chief Bargaining Delegate Johnny Earl: “We are on day three of bargaining . . . Management is still not offering COLA’s that cover the expected inflation for the next contract period.  It is extremely important that membership stand strong for a good contract as management continues to move.”

A strike vote has been called for Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17

Unless otherwise noted, the polling location at UO is 1587 E 13th, Columbia Hall Rm#150

  • 9/16 – 11 am to 12 pm
  • 9/16 – 12 to 1 pm
  • 9/16 – 1 to 2 pm
  • 9/16 – 5 to 6 pm
  • 9/16 – 8:30 to 9:30 pm | Lillis Building
  • 9/17 – 11 am to 12 pm
  • 9/17 – 12 to 1 pm
  • 9/17 – 12 to 1 pm | 1793 Columba ST Break room
  • 9/17 – 1 to 2 pm

Members, check your email (personal account, not UO Outlook) for a September 12 email from SEIU Local 503 titled “Calling the Question.” This email contains a link button to register to attend one of the voting sessions above.

Note: Only Union Members are eligible to vote.

UO Portland workers are encouraged to vote at Portland State University’s Smith Memorial Student Union on Monday. 12:15 pm in room 338 or at 5:15 pm in room 327.

Ahead of the strike vote, SEIU 503 is hosting a tele-town hall this Sunday evening at 6 pm to give everyone a full update on where things stand. No registration is required; SEIU will phone you automatically at the number on your membership record.
