Dear Fellow UO Employees:
As the non-faculty staff member on University of Oregon’s Board of Trustees I invite you to drop by during my quarterly open office hour dedicated to visiting with classified staff. It will be on Wednesday, November 20 from noon-1:00 p.m. in EMU Metolius Room 132.
These drop-ins are an opportunity for me to connect with employees, answer questions, and hear your feedback, ideas, or concerns. If this time doesn’t work for you, do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also email the board office at any time (email@example.com).
I am honored to serve on our governing board, and I enjoy being able to bring a non-faculty staff perspective to board discussions and deliberations. I’ve been at the UO for 14 years and I believe deeply in our mission as a public research institution. I also believe deeply in my role as a fiduciary for the entire university—not just a particular type of employee, and not just a particular department or unit.
We have a lot to be proud of here at the UO, but there’s also a lot of work to do! I look forward to engaging with you and, as I said before, do not hesitate to be in touch.
