There are many ways that you can get involved with the Union:
- Become a Member.
- Read email messages, flyers and our Local Focus newsletter.
- Come to our monthly membership meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the EMU, Noon-1 p.m. (lunch provided).
- Support Union activities – rallies, bake sales, lobby days, petitions, etc.
- Encourage your coworkers to join and participate in local Union activities.
- Become a contact person in your work area (contact Lisa Roberts)
- Serve on Union committees – website, newsletter, elections, etc.
- Contribute to our political action fund – CAPE – to help elect candidates who support worker issues.
- Help out on political campaigns – delivering flyers, making phone calls, writing letters, etc.
- Join the local Labor Choir, and sing for justice at union events (Contact Rolando Figueroa, 541-342-1055 x302).
- Become a Union Steward and help advocate for your co-workers (Contact any Steward or Executive Committee Member).
- Run for election as an officer of Sublocal 085 or SEIU Local 503.
